A CT technologist will administer your exam.
You will lie down on the padded CT table which will move into the
center of a large donut-shaped machine. The exam is relatively
painless but you will need to remain still during it in order to
ensure the clearest possible images. You can speak to the
technologist at any point during the exam through the built-in
intercom system. Exams typically last 15-30 minutes depending on
the specific type ordered by your doctor.
Once the exam is completed the technologist will bring you back to
the preparation room to collect your belongings and you'll be on
your way.
