HighSpeed
NX/i USER INTERFACE
Designed to meet the
increased demands placed on today's radiology
departments. The multi-slice NX/i not only
provides excellent diagnostic information but
also increases departmental productivity. Here's
how:
- Faster scan and reconstruction time:
Multi-slice capability, combined with faster
(0.7 sec) rotation speed.
- Thinner slices: The thinner the slice, the
higher the resolution - resulting in
excellent image quality and diagnostic
confidence. HiSpeed NX/i lets you acquire
two thin slices simultaneously in the same
time it takes for a conventional
single-slice scanner.
- HiLight image quality.
- Automated, protocol driven scanning: So
flexible, your imagination is the only
limit.
HighSpeed
NX/i USER INTERFACE
The state-of-the-art interface of the HiSpeed NX/i
provides a unique combination of sophisticated features
and user-friendly access for intuitive, interactive
scanning.
- Entirely protocol-driven, with easy to read icons
and color cues. Ready to scan with the click of the
mouse.
- Flexible editing tools tailor exam to patient,
proactively programming the system before the patient
arrives saving valuable time.
- True multi-tasking environment, with automated
real-time image processing, redefines “simultaneous”.
- Protocol Wizard lets you adjust one parameter with
the system automatically adjusting all other parameters
affected by the change.
SMARTmA
SmartmA
enables the scanner to automatically adjust the
mA within a scan series, thereby reducing
patient dose, scan time, and unnecesary heat
load to the x-ray tube. All while simultaneously
delivering consistent image quality throughout
the entire exam.
HILIGHT
DETECTOR
The HiLight scintillator is a
unique, man-made patented rare earth ceramic composite
specifically engineered for CT applications. With a 99%
absorption efficiency and a scintillation efficiency matched
to diagnostic CT x-rays, HiLight has over twice the light
output of Cadmium Tungstate while also being 20 times more
stable. (Cadmium Tungstate is another commonly used solid
state detector material)
To
maximize detector efficiency, the photodiode properties are
often as important as the scintillator material itself.
Features of the HiLight detector photodiode include:
- Spectrally matched for
maximum signal output at scintillator frequency
- Very high resistance and
low capacitance for minimum electronic noise
- Ultraflat diode surface
for efficient light coupling and reduced cross talk
- Uniform Z-axis response
- Fast response time across
total CT x-ray dynamic range
- Flat thermal response for
gain stability
- Low dose CT imaging
- Fast scan rotation times
- Superior low-contrast
detectability
- Exceedingly low image
noise
- High reliability
